How to join a Microsoft Teams Meeting

If you received an appointment from us by e-mail or text, but are new to calling, meeting, conferencing via Microsoft Teams, here are some instructions to help you get started

First, Get Familiar with Microsoft Teams Meetings Join Info

Join Using a Computer (Windows Personal Computer or Apple Computer)

This way, you can attend the meeting with all features such as Video, Share-Screen, WhiteBoard and plenty other powerful tools for deep-engagement as you meet

• From your reference Join Info (found in your calendar appontment or email or through a text message sent to you), click the hyperlink labeled “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting”

• If you have a Microsoft Account, it will launch your Microsoft Teams Desktop App or Web App, from which you are presumably logged-in. You will join the meeting in the same way you join meetings in your organization

• If you do not have a Microsoft Account, clicking on the link will launch your web browser, you will arrive at a page that looks like this

• Just click on continue to web browser, then please wait to be admitted into the meeting

Join Using a Mobile Device (iPhone, Android Phone, iPad, Android Tablet)

This way, you can attend the meeting with all features such as Video, Share-Screen for rich-engagement as you meet

From your reference Join Info (found in your calendar appontment or email or through a text message sent to you), click the hyperlink labeled “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting”

• If you have a Microsoft Account, it will launch your Microsoft Teams mobile app, from which you are presumably logged-in. You will join the meting in the same way you join meetings in your organization.

• If you do not have a Microsoft Account, you will still need to download Microsoft Teams on your mobile device.

• Click here to download Microsoft Teams Mobile App version for your Android Phone or Android Tablet

• Click here to download Microsoft Teams Mobile App version for your iPhone or iPad

• Once Microsoft Teams is installed in your mobile device, click again on the meeting hyperlink from the Join Info, after you click on the link, Microsoft Teams Mobile App will be launched. You will be asked to either login with credentials or join the meeting as a guest

• Select join meeting as a guest, just key in your name / nickname, so you will be identified properly as you join the meeting

• wait to be admitted into the meeting

Join Through A Regular Phone Call

If you like it old-school and prefer to “dial-in” and join the meeting through a telephone call, this is the way to do it. This is a regular phone call, carrier call charges may apply and you will not see the meeting screen and you will not be able to use the meeting tools

• If you are using a smartphone (iPhone or Android Phone) and click the hyperlink labeled “+63 2 231 3158”, your device will make a call to a wireline number which will connect you to the audio conferencing center (normal telco charges apply).

  • Your device will key in the codes by itself, so please wait for the whole dial-in to complete

  • If you are dialing-in from a country that is not The Philippines, you will need to call manually. Click on “Local Numbers”, a webpage listing all the dial-in phone numbers around the world. Choose the phone number that is best for your location.

• If you are not using a smartphone and need to dial manually, just call the conferencing center number that is listed for your country.

  • The conference center phone number for the Philippine is +63 2 232 3158, to retrieve phone numbers for other countries, please click on “local numbers”

  • Your device will key in the codes by itself, so please wait for the whole dial-in to complete

Join Through A Microsoft Teams Meeting Room (MTR)
